53.      Tourism is important to our economy and currently employs a workforce of over 170000. In face of the current economic difficulties and competition from other regions, we should take proactive action to facilitate the continuous development of tourism. This will stimulate growth and create employment in our service industries including retail, catering and hotel industries.
